A Chinese Drinking Game
Many of us have seen the movie Shanghai Noon and saw how much fun those two had playing in the tub together. The object of the game is to sing a song and use hand gestures that go along with it. The first person to make a mistake must take a shot and the song starts over. View the video from Shanghai Noon for a good idea of how to play.
One crab with eight feet
páng xiè yī ya zhǎo bā ge
Two pointed horns, what a big crab!
liǎng tóu jiān jiān zhè me dà ge
Blinking eyes, shrinking head
yǎn yì jǐ a bó yì suō
Crawling, crawling everywhere
pá a pá a guò shā hé
Two and two, who should drink?
liǎng ge liǎng ge gāi shuí hē
Three and three, who should drink?
sān ge sān ge gāi shuí hē
Five and five, who should drink?
wǔ ge wǔ ge gāi shuí hē
Two and two, you drink first!
liǎng ge liǎng ge nǐ xiān hē
Three and three, you drink first!
Sān gè sān gè gāi nǐ xiān hē
Five and five, you drink first!
Wǔ gè wǔ gè gāi nǐ xiān hē
If you get to the end and are successful, start the song over from the beginning except go faster.
I'm sure there is more to this game that I don't understand, maybe one day I'll meet Jackie Chan and he can teach me how to do it in a bath tub somewhere.
